A registrar will then contact you directly, take payment over the phone and prepare your copy certificate to post out to you. Call to make an appointment to see a Registrar in any of our registration offices , where you will be able to pay for and collect your certificate at your appointment.
How much will a certificate cost? Cheques should be made payable to "Scottish Borders Council".

You can apply for a copy of any birth, death, marriage or civil partnership certificate registered in Scotland. If the event took place in the current year we can only supply certificates for events registered in Perth and Kinross. There are certain details you need to order a copy.
